Benefits of Printing Letterheads
To brand yourself or your company requires a uniform look that is incorporated throughout your communication pieces.
Letterheads are at the center of daily correspondence and as such, should reflect your company image with class.
By printing in full color you will distinguish yourself from those that choose a simple one or two color print job for their
letterhead printing. To add another touch of refinement, consider incorporating a watermark on your selected stationary and to follow your design through to your envelopes and note cards.
Letterhead Design
Your
letterhead stationery should always include your logo and vital contact information. Typically, letterhead design works well when separating the essential parts. For example, the logo can go in the header portion while the address and other contact information can sit in the footer area.
This division of information allows a balanced look and sufficient room for the content portion of the letter.
Avoid cramming your basic information. "White Space" is always appreciated when considering design.
When
printing letterheads, we recommend a font size no less than 8pt. Smaller than that, and readability diminishes, especially on textured stock.
If you wish to use a background image we suggest keeping it transparent, soft and minimal. You don't want to obscure the printed content.
If bolder colours are your preference, save them for areas where separation lines and accents are going to draw the eye to key information.
